Halo Reach Forge Vidoc, Is this hope I feel?

I just watched Bungies Vidoc on it's new forge tool, or rather as it is more appropriately named, forge world.
This looks like it could be very good, but will it hold up? Will the large expanse be able to support enough map making? If it can though, we are in for one hell of a treat. Far Cry 2 had a fantastic editor but because the game was so badly broken the popularity was limited. Even then we saw some fantastic player-created maps. What can we expect with a game that is bound to be hugely popular, I for one am expecting a lot.
After Halo 2 & 3 were such let-downs I promised i would never put hope in a Halo game again and yet here it is rising up inside me. Can Reach give substance to that hope or will I again be disappointed?
